Bitcoin's Mixed Signals: Market Bottom or Further Down
Bitcoin's market dynamics are a mix of hope and uncertainty as it shows signs typical of a market bottom. However, its current on-chain metrics do not confirm a definite cycle low. Long-term Bitcoin holders are facing rising unrealized losses, with their trading prices below the cycle peak.
The adjusted Net Unrealized Profit and Loss (aNUPL) metric has revealed this trend. This metric measures the difference between the market value of held Bitcoins and their cost basis. A significant portion of long-term holders is now facing unrealized losses, indicating a potential market bottom.
Despite these signs, some metrics do not confirm a cycle low. For instance, the current on-chain metrics show that there are still significant amounts of Bitcoin being sold by long-term holders at a loss, which may indicate further price drops.
