Bitcoin's MVRV Z-Score Remains Below Long-Term Average, Caution Suggested

Bitcoin's current price of around $65,000 has some analysts suggesting that the cryptocurrency may be undervalued relative to its historical norms. However, a key on-chain metric known as the MVRV Z-Score suggests caution.

The MVRV Z-Score compares Bitcoin's market value with its realized value and is currently sitting at around 0.42, significantly below its long-term average of 1.7. This level has remained below the historical benchmark for the past month and briefly fell to approximately 0.185 on June 30.

According to CryptoQuant analyst Axel Adler Jr., a recovery in the MVRV Z-Score toward its long-term average would indicate improving market conditions. However, if the indicator falls below June's low and enters negative territory, it could signal another phase of price weakness before a sustainable recovery begins.
