Bitcoin's Next 60 Days: A Crucial Period for the Bear Market
Benjamin Cowen, a popular market analyst, believes that Bitcoin has entered a critical period in its current bear market. According to Cowen, October is the strongest month for a potential bottom, and the next 60 days could determine the ultimate direction of the market.
Cowen notes that the current market structure bears similarities to price movements between 2018 and 2022. In both cycles, Bitcoin lost value in May and June, then recovered in July, before facing renewed selling pressure in August and September.
The analyst states that if historical trends are repeated in 2026, Bitcoin could initially fall from current levels to around $56,000, and if selling pressure intensifies, it could drop further to $50,000. Cowen's 60-day warning for BTC is based on a four-year cycle, adding that the next 60 days could determine the final course of the current bear market.
The analyst also emphasizes that Bitcoin's past major bear market lows were seen in January 2015, December 2018, and November 2022, and that the calendar is gradually shifting forward. Cowen believes that October 2026 is a strong candidate for the bottom of the current cycle, but notes that these are merely predictions and that historical data and seasonal trends are not a definitive price indicator.
