Bitcoin's Next Bottom May Be in Late 2026
The Bitcoin price has been under pressure since the start of 2026, with its cumulative market cap standing at around $2.18 trillion and a year-to-date decline of over 27%. Despite this downturn, on-chain research firms and cycle analysts remain optimistic that the cryptocurrency will hit its next bottom in late 2026.
A report by Glassnode suggests that Q3 could be the time for Bitcoin to find its bottom, citing early accumulation as a positive sign. Meanwhile, Mudrex Learn predicts October 2026 to December 2026 as the most probable period for the bottom, with an estimated price range of $50,000 to $55,000.
The halving event in April 2024 is also seen as a key factor in determining the timing of Bitcoin's next cycle low. According to Mudrex, previous cycles have seen a bottom between 24 and 28 months after the halving event, which would put the focus on mid-2026 to late 2026.
However, not everyone is convinced that the bottom will arrive in late 2026. The report notes that a further macroeconomic deterioration or regulatory crackdown could push the price lower and delay the cycle low until the first quarter of 2027.
