Bitcoin's Price Point Becomes Extreme Accumulation Zone
According to recent data, a massive amount of Bitcoin has accumulated at the $63,000 price point. ChainCatcher's analyst Murphy notes that around 890,000 BTC ($63,058.00 · Live) is currently locked in this single price level, presenting an extreme distribution.
If we exclude the 550,000 BTC held by Coinbase between $83,000 and $84,000, the total amount of Bitcoin accumulated at this price point could be over 1 million, equivalent to around 5% of the total circulating supply. Historically, volumes above this scale have triggered significant market fluctuations.
Currently, only the $62,000 and $63,000 price points together account for approximately 8% of the circulating supply. Meanwhile, the concentration of short-term capital at these price levels has reached a new high of 13%, surpassing the 5% threshold that often precedes violent market swings.
Analyst Murphy warns that such extreme concentrations signify an accelerated sensitivity to price changes. When overly dense accumulations occur in narrow price intervals, even minor movements can trigger frenzied buying and selling among sensitive investors, leading to explosive upward or downward redistributions of capital.
