Bitcoin's Resilience Shines Amid Macro Volatility
Recent market volatility and rising macro pressure have tested the resilience of various assets. In the face of this uncertainty, Bitcoin has shown remarkable strength, outperforming gold and silver in a hypothetical $10,000 investment scenario.
A study by AMBCrypto found that during the US-Iran conflict, a $10,000 investment in BTC would have grown to $11,762, while the same investment in gold and silver would have yielded $8,200 and $7,310 respectively. This divergent performance is notable, as metals typically serve as safe-haven assets during times of macro uncertainty.
The technical analysis indicates that Bitcoin's resilience has been on display throughout this period, with the XAU/BTC ratio experiencing a 17% downturn in the third quarter. This downtrend occurred despite the spike in macro FUD, further highlighting the risk-reward divergence.
The growing trend of tokenized markets also plays a significant role in this scenario. According to Token Terminal, the RWA market has reached $46.4 billion on-chain, with tokenized gold accounting for 11% of the total market value. This shift towards decentralized exposure to gold and other precious metals is a key factor contributing to the divergence.
