Bitcoin's Sizzling Summer May Soon Turn to Autumn Freeze
Bitcoin has enjoyed a double-digit surge in July, but analysts warn that this trend may be short-lived. According to Ali Martinez, every August since 2022 has been in the red, with some declines reaching as high as 14%. In contrast, Rekt Capital notes that while Bitcoin has defended its $60,000 support, the current rally is a far cry from previous rebounds, indicating progressively weakening support over time.
The cryptocurrency's price has risen to around $65,000, but this gain cannot offset the losses incurred in June, which saw a 20% drop. As Martinez advises investors to 'enjoy the current rally,' they should also be aware of the historical pattern that suggests August may bring a painful correction.
Interestingly, while July's performance has aligned with almost all previous Julys, there have been some exceptions in the past. In 2013 and 2017, Bitcoin rose by 30% and 65%, respectively, making these years stand out from the general trend.
