Bitdeer AI Locks In $800M Revenue from Malaysia Data Center Sale
Bitdeer AI has sold out its 9.5MW Malaysia data center ahead of its Q1 2027 energization. The A102 facility, a liquid-cooled, multi-customer site designed for NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 deployments, will generate over $800 million in revenue across five years through long-term offtake commitments.
The customer prepayments for these contracts are expected to cover more than 50% of the center's capital expenditure. This funding model demonstrates Bitdeer AI's ability to secure investments through demand-driven development.
Bitdeer AI is ramping up its AI cloud ambitions, targeting a total of 350MW of AI-ready data center capacity by Q1 2028. The Malaysia data center represents an initial step toward this goal, with the company leveraging a mix of customer prepayments, operating cash flow, and financing against contracted cash flows to fund its growth.
CEO Jihan Wu's pivot into AI infrastructure aligns with a broader trend among crypto-native companies diversifying into artificial intelligence. Bitdeer's AI cloud push also benefits from its partnership with NVIDIA, a key player in the AI hardware sector.
