Bitdeer Expands Texas Footprint with $100M Land Acquisition
Bitdeer Technologies Group has made a significant expansion in its efforts to develop AI and high-performance computing infrastructure. The company acquired approximately 200 acres of land in Milam County, Texas, for $100 million in cash on September 1, 2026.
The new acquisition adds to the company's existing 563 MW Rockdale facility, bringing Bitdeer's total footprint in the area to roughly 255 acres. This expansion supports the company's strategy to develop AI and high-performance computing infrastructure alongside its established Bitcoin mining operations.
With this move, Bitdeer secures outright land ownership, removing lease renewal risk and gaining long-term site control needed to plan and finance AI/HPC data centers. The Rockdale location is now positioned to potentially receive additional power allocations in the coming years, reinforcing its role as a key growth hub in the company's global infrastructure portfolio.
