Bitdeer Technologies Group has expanded its presence in Texas by purchasing about 200 acres of land near Austin for $100 million. The company, which provides AI and Bitcoin mining infrastructure, plans to use this site to increase its planned AI and high-performance computing data-center operations.

The land lot is located in Milam County, approximately 70 miles from Austin. This purchase gives Bitdeer long-term control over the land, allowing it to plan, finance, and build AI and HPC infrastructure without the risk of lease renewal.

According to a statement by Bitdeer, the site currently has about 563 MW of interconnected grid capacity, with plans to scale to 742 MW. Additionally, the company will have access to a dedicated water supply.

Bitdeer owns or operates approximately 255 acres and 742 MW of existing and pipeline power capacity in Milam County. Globally, it has 3 GW across its portfolio, spanning the United States, Norway, Bhutan, Canada, Malaysia, and Ethiopia.
