Bitdeer Lands $6B AI Cloud Deal in Malaysia Amid Pivot

Bitdeer Technologies has landed a massive AI cloud contract in Malaysia worth approximately $6 billion. The 10-year deal is expected to generate around $1.1 billion annually, marking a significant milestone for the company's pivot from Bitcoin mining to AI cloud services.

The agreement is part of Bitdeer's broader pipeline exceeding $7 billion and will enable the construction of significant infrastructure in Malaysia, including a 9.5MW data center and a 21.7MW AI cloud facility.

Bitdeer aims to achieve 350MW global AI cloud capacity by 2028, with Malaysia serving as a key hub due to its proximity to Singapore and low-latency access at lower costs.
