Bitdeer Secures $4.7B Lease for AI/HPC Data Center Amidst Record-Breaking Crypto Mining Growth
Bitdeer, a leading AI and high-performance computing (HPC) provider, has announced significant growth in its operations. The company reported that it had leased a $4.7 billion, 16-year AI/HPC data center at its Tydal, Norway campus with Volta subsidiary. This lease has the potential to reach up to $8.0 billion with an 8-year extension option.
The data center will be configured with NVIDIA GPUs and is expected to have a total contract value of up to $8.0 billion. The company also reported that it had deployed 4,248 GPUs in its AI Cloud, achieving 95% utilization in July 2026. Additionally, the AI cloud pipeline reached 141.4 MW, including the 9.5MW A102 facility in Malaysia, which is fully committed under long-term offtake agreements with expected revenue of over $800 million.
In crypto mining, Bitdeer mined 1,190 Bitcoin in July, a significant increase of 322% year-over-year. The company's self-mining hash rate was approximately 76.7 EH/s, while its co-mining hash rate was 18.7 EH/s.
