Bitdeer Shares Plummet as Q2 Revenue Growth Fails to Offset Rising Losses
Bitdeer (BTDR) shares plummeted over 15% on Monday following the release of its Q2 2026 financial results, despite a nearly fivefold increase in Bitcoin production and 47% revenue growth.
The cryptocurrency mining company mined 2,694 BTC during Q2, exceeding analyst expectations but leading to a net loss of $92.3 million, up from $62.9 million in the same period last year.
Bitdeer's quarterly revenue reached $228.8 million, surpassing consensus forecasts and representing a significant expansion from the same quarter in 2025.
The company's CEO has emphasized its strategic pivot toward AI infrastructure development, with recent deals, including a $4.7 billion lease agreement for AI computing infrastructure in Norway, validating this new direction.
