Bitdeer Signs Massive AI Cloud Deal Worth $6 Billion in Malaysia
Bitdeer Technologies Group has locked in a 10-year AI cloud agreement in Malaysia worth $6 billion over its lifetime, with an expected annual revenue of $1.1 billion.
The deal comes alongside a pipeline that has already surpassed $7 billion across multiple agreements, underscoring Bitdeer's growing focus on artificial intelligence.
In Malaysia, Bitdeer is building infrastructure in both Johor and Cyberjaya, with its 9.5MW A102 data center in Malaysia being the crown jewel so far. This single facility is expected to generate over $800 million in revenue over five years.
The company has also secured a five-year contract worth approximately $400 million for 50% of the A102 campus's capacity, set to kick in starting Q1 2027. Additionally, Bitdeer signed a 10-year lease for 21.7MW of AI cloud capacity in Johor Bahru, which will house 128 NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems.
Bitdeer's pivot from Bitcoin mining to AI cloud infrastructure is part of its hybrid model, with the company aiming to reach up to 350MW of global AI cloud capacity by Q1 2028. Malaysian facilities are expected to contribute a significant portion of that total.
