Bitfinex Imposes Deadline for Delisted Assets
Bitfinex is giving users until August 31 to withdraw 13 cryptocurrencies that have been delisted from its platform. After this deadline, customers will no longer be able to access their funds directly and will instead have to rely on a two-month recovery process controlled by the exchange.
The affected assets include Cosmos (ATOM), Bit2Me (B2M), Bitget Token (BGB), EigenLayer (EIGEN), Vaulta (A), GateToken (GT), Jupiter (JUP), Kava (KAVA), Lido (LDO), NEO, Nexo (NEXO), OMNI and Ultra (UOS). Users who fail to withdraw their assets by August 31 will have them frozen on the exchange.
Standard withdrawals for these assets will be disabled after the deadline, with users instead facing a potentially lengthy recovery process that may not even succeed. The exchange notes that this manual recovery is subject to additional fees and lacks a fixed completion timeline.
