BitFuFu Adds 59 BTC to Treasury, Now Holds 1,373 BTC Worth $109M
BitFuFu added 59 BTC to its corporate treasury in August, increasing its total holdings to 1,373 BTC worth around $109 million at prevailing market prices. The company's Bitcoin stash has not followed a straight line trajectory, having peaked at 1,855 BTC in May before falling to 1,314 BTC by the end of July. BitFuFu's net addition of 59 BTC in August represents a shift back towards accumulation.
During August, BitFuFu produced 174 BTC across its operations, averaging 5.6 BTC per day. This output was split almost evenly between self-mining and cloud mining, with the company retaining 88 BTC from the former and clients taking 86 BTC from the latter. The company's managed hashrate climbed to 20.6 EH/s in August, a 45% increase month-over-month.
BitFuFu's fleet efficiency landed at 16.7 joules per terahash, while power capacity across its facilities reached 344 MW. Founded in 2020 and going public through a SPAC merger in March 2024, BitFuFu specializes in cloud mining services alongside its own physical mining operations, providing a revenue model that does not depend entirely on Bitcoin's spot price.
