BitFuFu Q2 Earnings: Strong Self-Mining Growth Amidst Cloud Mining Decline
BitFuFu Inc (FUFU) reported its Q2 2026 earnings, highlighting significant growth in self-mining production and hosting revenue. The company's self-mining hashrate increased by 9.3% quarter-over-quarter to 3.5 EH/s, resulting in nearly tripled monthly production from 32 to 90 Bitcoin.
The strong demand for the 'buy-and-host' solution drove a 254% year-over-year increase in hosting revenue. BitFuFu also secured additional hashrate capacity and positioned its total managed hashrate to return to around 20 EH/s by mid-August.
However, the company faced challenges in cloud mining revenue and net dollar retention rate, which declined sharply year-over-year due to lower Bitcoin prices and reduced customer demand. The net loss for Q2 2026 was $20.5 million, primarily attributed to fair value losses on Bitcoin holdings and digital asset receivables/payables.
Despite the headwinds, BitFuFu's management expressed confidence in the company's long-term value proposition, citing its efficient infrastructure, core power resources, and strong operating capabilities as providing 'meaningful long-term option value'.
