Bitget Allows Borrowing Against rTesla for Stablecoin Liquidity
Bitget users can now borrow stablecoins such as USDT and USDC against their rTesla (rTSLA) holdings, providing an alternative to selling their Tesla-linked positions. This feature is part of Bitget's growing rToken ecosystem, which allows tokenized stocks to serve as collateral for loans. The initial loan-to-value (LTV) ratio for rTSLA is 78%, with a margin-call threshold at 85% and liquidation threshold at 91%. Borrowers can repay their loans or add more collateral to improve the LTV ratio.
The amount that can be borrowed depends on the LTV ratio, with an individual collateral limit of $3.2 million USDT for rTSLA. Users can choose between flexible and fixed Crypto Loans, with interest accruing hourly over time. If the value of the rTSLA collateral declines, the LTV ratio will rise, potentially triggering a margin call or liquidation.
Bitget supports 699 total rTokens, with 153 available through Crypto Loans and 160 usable as collateral. The company's rToken ecosystem allows users to maintain their Tesla-linked exposure while accessing additional liquidity. This feature can be useful for traders who need stablecoins for another opportunity, portfolio management, or short-term funding.
