Bitget CEO Gracy Chen believes Bitcoin may not break out of its current trading band by year-end, citing macroeconomic uncertainty and interest-rate expectations. Speaking on Cointelegraph's Trade Secrets podcast, Chen argued that these factors will likely continue to influence the asset's direction.

She pointed out that higher interest rates could weigh on prices, given Bitcoin's growing linkage to traditional finance. According to Chen, the market may remain pressured if interest rates rise.

When asked about the possibility of Bitcoin ending the year above or below $70,000, Chen said it's difficult to make a clean call. She highlighted that her base case points to Bitcoin staying 'around the same range,' with a wide but defined margin of error.

Chen also expressed skepticism regarding the US government actively buying BTC for a national reserve before President Donald Trump's term ends. She argued that this scenario is unlikely within the next two years, citing the need for debate and policy changes across lawmakers and political parties.
