Bitget Courts BlackRock in Battle for Asia's Crypto Crown
Bitget, one of the largest crypto exchanges by volume, is reportedly in talks with BlackRock and other Wall Street firms about expanding distribution across Asia. The discussions come at a time when both traditional finance and crypto platforms are circling the same prize: Asia's enormous household wealth, estimated at roughly $108 trillion.
The talks have their roots in a meeting that took place in May 2026, where Bitget CEO Gracy Chen pitched her '10% Vision' to BlackRock COO Rob Goldstein. This thesis posits that tokenized financial assets could account for 10% of all global financial assets by 2030.
The conversation centered on tokenized equities and the infrastructure required to support them, rather than a conventional distribution deal for Bitget's exchange services. Tokenization has become a hot topic in boardrooms where crypto meets traditional finance, with Bitget quietly building out this part of its business.
