Bitget Dominates Ethereum Derivatives Market in H1 2026
Bitget's liquidity performance in H1 2026 has been impressive, according to the CoinGlass Semi-Annual Cryptocurrency Derivatives Market Report. The exchange ranked second in Ethereum (ETH) liquidity depth, with $81.37 million in order-book depth within ±1% of the mid-price.
This represents a 21.4% share among listed venues and follows a trend where derivatives markets have become more selective in major crypto assets. The report found that total crypto derivatives volume was down 15.7% year over year in H1 2026, while average daily open interest declined by 10.0%
Bitget's CEO, Gracy Chen, stated that 'the derivatives markets remain sensitive to volatility even when overall trading activity moderates,' and emphasized the importance of liquidity depth.
The exchange has been investing in its infrastructure to support growing demand from institutional traders. In December 2025, Bitget reported an 82% increase in institutional spot trading volume, highlighting rising participation on the platform. To further support this growth, Bitget upgraded its PRO and Liquidity Incentive Programs in early July.
