Bitget Expands Beyond Crypto with Universal Exchange Strategy
Bitget is marking its eighth anniversary by accelerating its expansion beyond cryptocurrency. The Universal Exchange (UEX) strategy is set to drive the trading platform's next phase of growth, according to a company announcement.
The exchange has broadened its product lineup over the past year to include stock perpetual contracts, U.S. stock options and Hong Kong stock Quanto contracts. Non-crypto assets have accounted for as much as 40% of total trading volume.
Both traditional finance perpetual contracts and CFDs have exceeded $10 billion in daily volume. Tokenized traditional assets are becoming an important part of Bitget's ecosystem, with its rToken product surpassing $100 million in assets under management within five weeks of launching and processing more than 3 million transactions.
Approximately one-quarter of new users now begin trading through rToken. The exchange has also launched AI Playbook, an autonomous trading agent that provides access to AI-assisted trading strategies. CEO Gracy Chen said crypto and traditional financial markets are increasingly converging as AI reshapes trading and institutional participation accelerates.
