Bitget Imposes Sanctions on 16 Crypto Platforms, Expands US Stock-Linked Token Offerings
Bitget is taking a three-phase approach to enforcing sanctions on 16 cryptocurrency platforms. This move comes in response to US and EU sanctions related to Iran and Russia, with Binance also implementing similar measures.
The sanctioned platforms include HTX and EXMO, although HTX disputes the restrictions claiming they only affect UK and EU users. However, UK authorities disagree due to ownership ties.
Concurrently, Bitget has expanded its Stock Dual Investment portfolio from 6 to over 21 US stock and ETF-linked tokens. This includes Nvidia, Tesla, Apple, and leveraged semiconductor ETFs.
This move broadens investment options for non-US users while maintaining regulatory compliance.
