Bitget IPO Prime Bridges Private Markets and Digital Assets for Ordinary Investors
Bitget's IPO Prime is bridging private markets and digital assets by making it easier for ordinary people to invest in promising companies before they go public. For years, getting into a private company required being an accredited investor, which meant meeting certain income or net worth requirements. This left about 87% of the population unable to invest in many opportunities.
Bitget's IPO Prime platform combines private market investing with digital asset infrastructure onto a crypto exchange. Users can join with as little as 100 USDT and pay in USDT or USDGO. They don't have to pay management fees, give up carried interest, or incur custody charges. The subscription process is integrated into the Bitget platform.
The first two IPO Prime launches saw nearly 20,000 people participate, committing close to $300 million. Both offerings were oversubscribed, with preOPAI coming in at 5.7x and preSPAX at 2.9x. The average amount each participant put in increased from approximately $12,300 to more than $22,000.
Participants can trade their allocations straight on Bitget's spot market following the subscription process, providing earlier liquidity. This is a faster way out than most pre-IPO investment platforms or private secondary marketplaces can offer. The two offerings didn't just move money into private-market allocations but also onto Bitget itself.
