Bitget Opens Up API to Global CFD Markets, Expanding Trading Options for Professionals

Share

Bitget, a crypto exchange and trading platform, has expanded its Open API to support CFD (Contract for Difference) trading across various global markets. This move enables quantitative, algorithmic, and API traders to access traditional markets such as gold, forex, stock indices, and crude oil alongside cryptocurrencies.

The expansion is part of Bitget's Universal Exchange (UEX) strategy, which aims to bring together crypto and traditional markets on one platform. With this new feature, traders can use one API setup instead of separate connections for crypto and CFD trading.

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen stated that adding more markets is just one part of building a Universal Exchange. Traders also need tools that work with the systems they already use. The company is focusing on professional traders who require automated trading and access to different types of assets.
