Bitget Overtakes Binance in Trading Efficiency for Top Derivatives
The stock derivatives market has seen an explosive growth phase, transitioning from 'experimental' to 'mass adoption', according to a report by RootData. The cumulative trading volume of $175 billion between January and August underscores this trend.
Among the top four exchanges, Binance leads with 61.3% share and a trading volume of $8.5358 trillion, followed closely by Bitget at 19.5% share and $2.7085 trillion. OKX comes in third with 16.8% share and $2.3439 trillion, while Bybit takes the fourth spot with 2.4% share and $334.1 billion.
When it comes to liquidity, Binance and Bitget combined account for over 70% of stock derivatives trading volume. The former boasts a daily average trading volume of $101 million, followed by Bitget at $48.2 million, while OKX and Bybit trail behind with $38.7 million and $11.6 million respectively.
In terms of trading costs, Bitget emerges as the winner, boasting an average weighted price difference of 0.0144%. Binance comes in second with a marginally higher cost at 0.0145%, while OKX and Bybit trail behind at 0.0154% and 0.0237% respectively.
