Bitget Quits Japan Amid Regulatory Hurdles
Bitget has announced its decision to exit Japan by the end of this year. The cryptocurrency exchange cited regulatory challenges as the primary reason for its withdrawal from the Japanese market.
The move will force Bitget's traders in Japan to exit their accounts and close any open positions by December 31st, according to a notice posted on the exchange's website.
Bitget has been operating in Japan since 2021, but regulatory hurdles have led to the decision to withdraw from the market. The exchange cited 'complex' regulations as a major obstacle to its continued operation in the country.
