Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange, has launched a Crypto Anti-Bias Pledge ahead of International Women's Day. The initiative aims to address the underrepresentation of women in the crypto industry, which accounts for only 25% of users despite projected control over more than $83 trillion in wealth by 2030.

According to Bitget data, female-led blockchain startups receive around 6% of total industry funding, while women hold more than 40% of senior management positions at the exchange. The company is backing its pledge with a $10 million Blockchain4Her program and an existing partnership with UNICEF targeting blockchain education for 1.1 million people by 2027.

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen stated that the industry's adoption ceiling is structurally limited by excluding half the global population. The exchange has not provided independent verification of its internal benchmarks, leaving the effectiveness of the pledge uncertain.
