Despite controlling an increasingly large share of global wealth, women account for only around 25% of cryptocurrency users worldwide. However, Bitget is working to address this disparity through its Crypto Anti-Bias Pledge ahead of International Women's Day.

The exchange has partnered with UNICEF to target blockchain and digital skills education for 1.1 million people by 2027, with approximately 90% of participants expected to be girls and young women.

According to Bitget, female-led blockchain startups receive around 6% of total industry funding, despite broader research suggesting that female founders generate higher returns per dollar invested.

The exchange's Blockchain4Her initiative is backed by a $10 million program aimed at promoting diversity in the cryptocurrency space and addressing the structural limitations that exclude half the global population from participating.
