Bitget Taps Wall Street Giants for Asian Crypto Expansion
Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange, is in talks with BlackRock and other major Wall Street firms to expand its distribution of tokenized ETFs and blockchain-based money market products into Asian markets.
The discussions center on reaching the vast pool of investors in Asia who already hold both digital assets and traditional equities. According to Bitget CEO Gracy Chen, the exchange's 52% user overlap between crypto and traditional stocks makes it an efficient distribution point for these products.
Asia has seen a surge in crypto adoption, with transactions growing 69% year-over-year as of June 2025, the fastest growth rate globally. BlackRock estimates that even a 1% regional allocation to crypto could generate roughly $2 trillion in new inflows.
While nothing is yet signed, these talks represent one of the most direct links between a systemically important asset manager and a crypto exchange's existing user base. If it materializes, it would mark a significant shift in how BlackRock distributes its tokenized products.
