Bitget Token Rides Broad Crypto Rally, Surges 7.81%
The cryptocurrency market experienced a broad risk-on phase over the last 24 hours, leading to significant gains across various assets. Bitget Token (BGB) rose by 7.81% during this period, largely due to its correlation with the broader market. The move was driven by a combination of factors, including US Treasury buyback news, falling yields, large short liquidations, and more constructive US regulatory and political signals.
The announcement that the US Treasury would double long-dated bond buybacks from $2 billion to at least $4 billion per operation pushed long-term yields lower and eased pressure on risk assets. This led to a surge in Bitcoin's price, with it jumping into the high-$60k to low-$70k zone. Ethereum also saw significant gains, rising by 18-19% over the past day.
Bitget Token (BGB) was among the exchange tokens that benefited from this market rally, along with BNB and GT. The token's price increase was proportionally consistent with Bitcoin, ETH, and other exchange tokens, suggesting a sector-wide rotation into exchange and platform tokens.
A minor, token-specific tailwind for BGB came from its new cross-chain support on Bridgers for Morph assets. This integration increases BGB's accessibility and interoperability, potentially boosting utility for users who hold BGB on Morph or want to route value through it.
