Bitget Wallet Booms in Emerging Markets with 100M Users, Daily Spending Surpasses Trading
Bitget Wallet has announced that it has surpassed 100 million users worldwide. The company's user base is now divided between traders and daily spenders, with the latter outnumbering the former for the first time in its history.
The majority of Bitget's users are located in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa, and Latin America, where the wallet serves as a stablecoin account. This is partly due to Nigeria's adoption of the platform, which accounts for approximately 60% of all stablecoin inflows into sub-Saharan Africa since 2019.
The country has received about $59 billion in crypto asset inflows between July 2023 and June 2024. In response to Nigeria's naira losing over 40% of its value against the dollar in 2024, Bitget launched a direct bank transfer feature in November 2025, allowing users to convert stablecoins into naira instantly.
The platform's card numbers also reflect this trend. With over 150,000 cards issued worldwide, Bitget Wallet Cards have expanded across more than 50 markets and are accepted at over 150 million merchants. Global card spending reached $31 million in the first half of 2026, up 191% from the second half of 2025.
