Bitget's Protection Fund Hits Record High Amidst Bitcoin Rally

Bitget's Protection Fund has reached new heights in August 2026, averaging $382 million and peaking at $441.5 million on August 27. The fund's value remained above Bitget's $300 million commitment throughout the month.

The increase is largely attributed to Bitcoin's rally, which saw a price rise of over 25% in August. As much as 5,500 BTC supports the Protection Fund.

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen emphasized that strong market conditions do not reduce the need for protection, stating 'Strong markets don't reduce the need for strong safeguards.'
