BitGo Acquires NYDIG Institutional Trading Business in $0-Sum Deal
BitGo Holdings has acquired NYDIG's institutional trading business for an undisclosed sum. The deal, which was completed on August 27, adds derivatives, structured products, execution, and financing services to BitGo's U.S. institutional platform.
The acquired operation provides a range of services, including derivatives, structured products, financing, execution, and customized capital markets services globally. Approximately 30 NYDIG employees have joined BitGo alongside the company's institutional client relationships included in the transaction.
NYDIG will focus on power generation, Bitcoin mining, and high-performance computing after selling its trading operation. The company has a development pipeline exceeding three gigawatts, with one gigawatt deliverable during 2027 and 2028 combined.
