BitGo Acquires NYDIG Trading Division to Bolster Institutional Crypto Offerings
BitGo has made significant strides in expanding its institutional crypto push through strategic acquisitions and partnerships. The latest development is the acquisition of NYDIG's institutional brokerage and trading division, which brings approximately 30 specialized professionals to BitGo.
The move aims to enhance BitGo's offerings for institutions and provide them with more comprehensive solutions. This acquisition follows BitGo Korea receiving a VASP license in South Korea, making it the first international crypto company to do so.
BitGo has also seen significant revenue growth, reaching $4.3 billion, but reported a net loss of $19 million in the second quarter of 2026. Additionally, WalletConnect Network processed $155.9 billion in USDC volume during the first half of 2026, with BitGo moving $7.7 billion in WBTC infrastructure to Chainlink.
