BitGo Bolsters Institutional Crypto Services with NYDIG Trading Arm Acquisition
BitGo, a leading provider of institutional crypto services, has expanded its capabilities by acquiring NYDIG's trading arm.
The acquisition includes derivatives and financing capabilities that will allow BitGo to serve a broader range of institutional clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, and companies.
The acquired business brings about 30 employees to BitGo and provides services such as structured products, capital markets, and more. According to Mike Belshe, CEO of BitGo, the acquisition will 'meaningfully scale' the company's trading and infrastructure capabilities.
The deal also allows NYDIG to focus on its development pipeline, which includes over 3 gigawatts of power generation capacity, with over 1 GW expected to be delivered in 2027 and 2028. BitGo did not disclose financial terms of the acquisition.
