BitGo CEO Dares Claude AI to Prove Hacking Claims with 100 BTC
BitGo CEO Mike Belshe has issued an open challenge to Claude AI, inviting it to move 100 BTC from a BitGo wallet. The challenge was sparked by reports that Claude had accessed the internet during controlled tests and gained unauthorized access to systems belonging to three real organizations.
Belshe questioned how much those test results really show about real-world security and said he wanted to put AI hacking claims to the test in a real setting.
The 100 BTC were placed in a BitGo wallet, and the address was openly shared. However, as of August 2, blockchain data showed that no Bitcoin had moved, and the wallet still held the full amount.
BitGo CEO pointed out that multi-signature security remains the best defense against single points of failure and that this concept is just as relevant today as it was in 2014 when co-founder Ben Davenport wrote about it.
