BitGo Selects Chainlink CCIP for $7.7B WBTC Cross-Chain Migration
BitGo is adopting Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to support the migration of Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), a $7.7 billion asset, from its existing cross-chain infrastructure.
The transition will introduce CCIP as the underlying interoperability system for transferring assets across supported blockchain networks, including WBTC and future BitGo-issued assets.
BitGo's adoption of CCIP follows its recent efforts to broaden its institutional offerings, including a partnership with Morpho to explore institutional DeFi services.
