Bithumb Halts BB Token Deposits and Withdrawals Amid Foundation Request

South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has announced that it will temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals of BounceBit (BB) tokens, effective at 2:55 a.m. UTC on August 20.

The suspension is due to a request from the BounceBit foundation and is expected to last for several hours, although the exact duration was not specified by the exchange.

Users are advised to complete any pending BB transactions before the cutoff time to avoid delays. Trading of BB on Bithumb's platform may continue during this period, but transfers in and out will be unavailable.
