Bithumb Suspends POKT and POL Deposits Due to Network Upgrades
Bithumb, a South Korean crypto exchange, will temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals for Pocket Network's POKT token and Polygon Ecosystem Token (POL) on August 18 due to scheduled network upgrades. The maintenance window begins at 9:00 a.m. UTC, during which spot trading for both assets will continue without interruption.
The upgrade is aimed at improving network efficiency and reliability for Pocket Network, a decentralized infrastructure protocol that incentivizes node operators to provide RPC services to Web3 applications. Polygon's POL token serves as the native token of the ecosystem, which has undergone multiple technical upgrades over the years to enhance scalability and introduce new features.
Bithumb advised users to complete any pending deposit or withdrawal requests before the cutoff time to avoid delays. The exchange will resume services once each network upgrade is confirmed stable, with separate notices expected when operations return to normal.
