Bithumb Temporarily Suspends 25 Tokens on August 31

Bithumb, a major South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, has announced a temporary suspension of deposit and withdrawal services for 25 digital assets on August 31. The maintenance window is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. UTC to 6:00 p.m. UTC, lasting 10 hours.

The affected tokens include prominent cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), as well as a range of altcoins and newer listings. This includes Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), Cardano (ADA), Worldcoin (WLD), Ondo (ONDO), and Sui (SUI).

Bithumb emphasized that the downtime is necessary to conduct a thorough review of its systems and ensure the integrity of its virtual asset management. The exchange's monthly audit is a routine procedure, but the breadth of this suspension, covering 25 assets, highlights the exchange's commitment to security and compliance.
