BitMart Announces Shutdown of Trading Platform Operations

Share

BitMart, a cryptocurrency exchange founded in 2017 by Sheldon Xia, has announced that it will shut down its trading platform through an orderly wind-down process. The company made this decision after carefully evaluating its operating conditions and market circumstances.

The exchange will gradually stop accepting new users and suspend fiat and crypto deposits starting July 26, 2026. It will also phase out copy trading, grid trading, API trading, and other automated services during the same period.

Trading across spot and futures markets will cease on August 26, while investment products including Earn, staking, lending, and Launchpad will be retired separately. The exchange expects to officially cease platform operations on January 31, 2027.
