BitMart Announces Shutdown: Trading Operations to Cease on January 31, 2027
BitMart, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced that it will shut down its trading operations on January 31, 2027. The exchange stated that it made this decision after a thorough review of its operating status, the overall environment in the cryptocurrency market, and its future development strategy.
The shutdown process began on July 26, 2026, when new account registrations, deposits, and trading orders were suspended. Trading services will be discontinued by August 26, 2026, and futures positions that remain open after this date will be settled according to the settlement rules applicable on BitMart's platform.
BitMart advises its users to close all trading positions, submit withdrawal requests before the deadline, and complete their identity verification. The exchange also warned against depositing new coins if deposit services are disabled, as deposits may not be credited automatically to a user account.
