BitMart Exchange Shuts Down Amid Market Conditions
BitMart, one of the older surviving crypto exchanges, has announced its shutdown. The platform cited market conditions and strategic direction as reasons for the closure in an official notice published on July 26.
The exchange has not shut down immediately. However, several deadlines are approaching quickly. Spot trading stopped accepting new orders after July 26 at 01:30 UTC, while futures accounts entered Reduce-Only mode, allowing only existing positions to be closed but no new ones to be opened.
Users should complete identity verification and close all trading positions before August 26 at 01:00 UTC. Withdrawal requests should also be submitted by this time. Those who miss the deadline will face a separate processing procedure with no guaranteed timeline.
The final date for BitMart to cease operations is January 31, 2027 at 15:59 UTC.
