BitMart Faces August 19 Deadline Amid User Demands for Financial Transparency
BitMart is facing an ultimatum from its users as they demand financial transparency and reserve verification by August 19. The coalition, comprising both customers and staff members, has issued a formal letter to the platform requesting detailed information on client wallet addresses, accessible capital, outstanding obligations, and deployable reserve holdings.
The community is seeking concrete evidence of BitMart's capacity to fulfill pending withdrawal requests, including third-party validation rather than relying on unaudited company declarations. This demand comes after customers reported account access issues during the platform's wind-down process, with some alleging that supposedly completed transactions showed no verifiable on-chain confirmation records.
BitMart previously revealed its closure intentions on July 26, citing operational circumstances and strategic realignment as reasons for shutting down. The organization intends to terminate all trading functionalities by August 26 and anticipates complete operational cessation by January 31, 2027. However, leadership has not provided clear explanations regarding the alleged withdrawal limitations and outstanding employee wages.
The coalition is also seeking a structured recovery timeline and staff compensation, including comprehensive repayment framework addressing impacted customers. They require BitMart to reveal remaining holdings, aggregate liabilities, and projected customer recovery percentages, with specified payment hierarchies, execution timelines, and designated oversight authority.
