BitMart Reconsiders Closure Amid Restructuring Plans

Share

BitMart's plans to shut down have sparked panic among users in recent weeks. The crypto exchange announced on July 26 that it would cease all operations by January 31, 2027.

The announcement led to a surge of withdrawal attempts from users trying to access their assets before the closure date.

However, in a surprising twist, BitMart has now revealed plans to explore a potential restructuring plan. The exchange says this may involve phased resumption of certain operations alongside distributions to creditors.

Restructuring counsel White & Case has been hired to help assess BitMart's options and develop a roadmap detailing its future. A timeline for the release of this roadmap is set for no later than September 9, 2026.
