BitMart Shuts Down, Citing 'Operational Conditions' and Industry Changes
BitMart, a nine-year-old crypto exchange, has announced its shutdown. The platform will cease operations on January 31, 2027, after a phased shutdown that began in July 2026.
The company cited 'operational conditions, market environment, and future strategic direction' for the closure but did not provide further details.
As a result of the shutdown announcement, trading has been halted, and new registrations, deposits, and trade orders have been suspended since July 26. By August 26, all spot, futures, and other trading will cease.
Futures accounts have been switched to reduce-only mode, and automated services like Copy Trading, Grid Trading, API Trading will be gradually disabled by the end of January next year.
