Bitmart Shuts Down Trading Platform Amid Business Review

Bitmart announced it would shut down its trading platform operations after reviewing its business outlook and strategy. The crypto exchange halted registrations, deposits, and new orders on July 26 at 01:30 UTC.

The decision to close the platform weakened the utility of Bitmart's native token BMX, which plummeted roughly 63% in a 24-hour window. This crash occurred after the announcement that the exchange would wind down its trading operations.

BMX provides trading-fee discounts and other account benefits within the Bitmart ecosystem. However, the utility weakens when the crypto exchange stops matching orders and closes products.
