BitMart Shuts Down Trading Platform Amid Market Slump

Share

BitMart announced that it will be shutting down its trading platform in stages. The process is set to begin on July 26, 2026, with full cessation by January 31, 2027. Users are advised to complete their Know Your Customer (KYC) verification and withdraw their funds by August 26, 2026, as withdrawals will undergo manual review after this date.

The closure is due to a strategic review amid tough market conditions and rising compliance costs. BitMart's decision follows a similar shutdown by rival exchange BitMEX.

This trend reflects challenges faced by mid-tier crypto exchanges, signaling a shift toward fewer, larger, and more regulated platforms.
