BitMart to Halt Trading Operations by January 2027

Share

Crypto exchange BitMart has announced it will cease trading operations by January 31, 2027. To prepare for this transition, the platform has started to gradually suspend new registrations, deposits, and orders.

The suspension of services comes after an evaluation of the exchange's operating conditions, market environment, and future strategic direction. Spot, futures, and other trading services will halt on August 26 at 01:00 UTC, with users having until then to close positions and submit withdrawal requests.

BitMart global CEO Nathan Chow said he was not consulted on the decision, claiming his employment was terminated on July 24 and that he has had no involvement in management since. He emphasized the importance of relying only on official channels for information during this time.
